What is the theme of the 11ISC 2024 conference?

When and where will the event take place?
The 11ISC 2024 conference will be held on October 22-23, 2024 at Universitas Advent Indonesia, Bandung, Indonesia.
Who are the Host and co-hosts for the 11ISC Conference?
The host is Universitas Advent Indonesia (UNAI), and the co-hosts are Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP), Universitas Klabat (UNKLAB), and Asia-Pacific International University.

Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of the 11th International Scholar Conference and in journals published by UNAI, including Pedagogik, Teika, JTIMB, and Koinonia.

The conference is open to academics, researchers, practitioners, students, and other professionals.
What is the registration fee?
- Host and co-host academic presenters and student presenters: Free
- Public academic presenters: $75
- Public student presenters: $50
- General participants: $75

Who is considered part of the public?
Any presenter (academic or student) from an institution other than the host or co-host institutions.
What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee covers:
- A bed in a 3- or 4-person dormitory room for accommodation
- Conference kit
- Certificate as a presenter or participant
- Conference t-shirt
When will the schedule for the presentations be available?
The schedule for presentations will be provided at a later date. Please stay tuned for updates.
Can I request to stay in the same dormitory room as my co-author?
Yes, provided you are either a married couple or of the same gender. Your co-author must also register as a participant (co-author).
Can I request to stay in the same dormitory room as my family?
Yes, you may stay in the same room with your family. Each family member must register as a participant.
Will transportation be provided to and from the airport?
Yes, we plan to arrange group pick-ups and drop-offs based on your arrival and departure times. Further details will be provided closer to the event.
Can I request private transportation from the airport?
While we encourage you to join the group pick-up, we can provide information on alternative travel options if necessary.
When can I check into the dormitory?
The dormitory will be available from Monday (Oct 21, 2024) morning. If you arrive earlier, please inform us so we can make necessary arrangements, as students are currently occupying the dormitory.
When is check-out from the dormitory?
Since the conference concludes on Wednesday evening, we request that participants check out on Thursday morning (Oct 24, 2024).

FAQ Participant
Arrival Information for International Travelers (WNI & WNA):
All international travelers (Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals) entering Indonesia are required to complete the SATUSEHAT Health Pass electronic self-declaration form online via the following link: SATUSEHAT Health Pass. This applies to all passengers and is in place to help prevent the entry of new variants of Mpox into Indonesia.
When should I complete the Indonesia Health Pass?
The SATUSEHAT Indonesia Health Pass must be completed within 48 hours of your departure. If you attempt to submit your information before that, the form will not allow you to proceed. Any other date selections will be disabled.

Money Exchange:
There are 24-hour money changer services available at the airport. Please ensure that any US dollars you bring are in pristine condition (undamaged, unfolded), as worn bills may be devalued when exchanged.
Electrical Outlets and Plugs:
Please note that Indonesia uses Type C and Type F electrical outlets, with a voltage of 220V. We recommend that participants bring appropriate adapters for their electronic devices. If you are using a laptop or device that requires a different type of plug, please ensure you have the correct adapter:
Presentation Equipment:
All presentation rooms will be equipped with computers and projectors. The projectors use HDMI connections. If you plan to use your own laptop, particularly if you use an Apple device, don’t forget to bring your HDMI converter.
Payment at UNAI:
If you plan to make payments at UNAI, please note that credit or debit card transactions will incur a 5% fee. Cash payments for meals are accepted in Indonesian Rupiah, but QRIS is the preferred digital payment method.
ATM Access:
ATMs are available on the UNAI campus, conveniently located right in front of the UNAI clinic. For cash withdrawals, please ensure you use an ATM that displays the Visa or Mastercard logo.
Pick-up Arrangements:
Official free pick-up services from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) will start at midnight on Sunday, October 20, 2024. Grouped pick-up schedules will be arranged based on your estimated time of arrival (ETA) throughout Monday, October 21, 2024.
If you require transportation before these times, there are public shuttle services available from the airport to Bandung. The cost for the shuttle is approximately Rp. 200,000 (± USD $13.10). One available night shuttle to Bandung is Lintas Shuttle.
Health Needs & Insurance:
If you have any medical conditions, don’t forget to bring your regular medications. UNAI provides a clinic for unexpected health issues, open 24 hours. For health conditions that require referral, Rumah Sakit Advent Bandung is available and can be reached within 30-45 minutes from the UNAI campus. Additionally, all participants, especially those traveling from abroad, are strongly advised to arrange their own travel and health insurance before coming to Indonesia. UNAI does not provide health insurance coverage for participants.
Accommodations at UNAI Dormitory:
Participants staying in UNAI dormitories must bring their own toiletries, including soap, shampoo, and towels. Please note that there is no hot water available for showers. Drinking water dispensers will be available in each dormitory. Alternatively, participants can purchase bottled mineral water at the UNAI Store or at nearby convenience stores.
Early check-in is available on Sunday, October 20, 2024, and late check-out is on Friday, October 25, 2024. The BEM team will be on hand to assist.
Hotel Arrangements:
If you prefer to stay in a hotel instead of the dormitory, the closest option is BV Hotel. If you book a minimum of 15 rooms for 30 people, the cost is approximately Rp. 200,000 per room per night (± USD $13.10). However, if you book fewer than 15 rooms, the cost will be Rp. 441,000 per room per night (± USD $28.90). Please note that hotel accommodations are self-funded, and we recommend booking in advance to secure the best rates. On-the-spot bookings will be charged at the standard rate. There will be scheduled transportation from BV Hotel to UNAI, with timings to be confirmed closer to the event.
Meals at UNAI’s Cafeteria:
Meals will be provided starting from Monday evening (October 21, 2024) through Thursday morning (October 24, 2024). The meals provided will be vegetarian, which means they may include eggs or nuts, which could cause allergic reactions. Please be mindful of the ingredients listed or ask the staff at the cafeteria if you have any dietary concerns. If you wish to purchase meals outside the official conference meal times, or for family members or companions who are not registered for the conference, additional meals are available for purchase at the UNAI Cafeteria for Rp. 20,000 per meal (± USD $1.31). The cafeteria accepts QRIS payment or cash in Rupiah and does not accept foreign currency.
